Marilyn Dental Assistant

Hi, I am the primary cosmetic assistant, and lab case director. I have been assisting since I graduated from high school in Ventura, California. I was trained by a USC dentist and found that I really loved the profession. I attended USC for two years and during that time I also dental assisted at the Dental School. In 1975, I moved to Arizona and appreciated all the rural beauty it had to offer. I lived on the Verde River in Camp Verde for 25 years and, with my husband, raised two daughters. We enjoyed the rural lifestyle and the small community for years. I have worked with Dr. Moore for 34 years, starting in 1977. I love my work and the patients I work with. Most of my days are spent planning our more extensive restorative and aesthetic cases. Over the years we have attended many dental continuing education classes together so that I can always be informed about  new products, materials and ideas in dentistry. Most importantly, I would say that my years of experience and education have given me a good eye for the smile design makeovers, assuring  the best aesthetic results for you. I will be glad and proud to show you our dental photo gallery of before and after smiles.

Heidi- Dental Hygienist

My name is Heidi and I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Dental Hygiene. I moved to Arizona shortly after graduation to work as a clinical instructor of Dental Hygiene at Northern Arizona University, where I also obtained a certification to administer local anesthesia. While continuing my education at NAU, I discovered that practicing dental hygiene was my true passion, and immediately joined Dr. Moore’s dental team in 1980, where I joyfully continue to help patients. It is wonderful to be a part of a practice that allows me to continue furthering my education in order to employ the latest technology, materials, and procedures to ensure all patients obtain the smile they deserve. In my 31 years of practicing with Dr. Moore, I have been dedicated to helping patients maintain healthy oral hygiene, while also ensuring that they receive a pleasant personal experience. It is exciting to involve patients in taking steps to not only make their smiles healthy, but to make them gorgeous too! On a personal note, I love exercising, running, hiking, traveling, waterskiing and spending time with my husband, Tommy, and our two children, Matthew and Stephanie, who both recently graduated from the University of Arizona and are now continuing with their career choices.

Janet- Dental Assistant

My name is Janet and I am a chair-side dental assistant. I have been an assistant since January 1997,and have worked in this office since July of 2005. I enjoy being an assistant because I love working with people. I like the interactions of everyone involved. Every situation is different. I did not choose dentistry as an occupation; it chose me. I have always been in the medical field. I found the work to be educational and fascinating. As fate would have it, I was invited to work at a dental practice. I immediately fell in love with my new career. I am very pleased to be working with Dr. Katie Held, Dr. Jon Held and Dr. George Moore. Cosmetic dentistry is thrilling. Seeing the transformations and how happy people are with their new look is very gratifying. I am a team player, hard working, and easy to talk to. So many people are anxious when going to the dentist. I try to make them as comfortable as possible while they are in my care. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, gardening, traveling, creating stained glass, and taking classes.

Beth- Dental Assistant

We welcomed Beth to our team a few months ago! She comes to us from a Camp Verde dental clinic with a wealth of knowledge in surgery, implants and dentures. She is a fantastic new addition to our team and we can’t wait for you to get a chance to meet her!

Jolene- Front Office Coordinator

Hello, my name is Jolene and I joined the team in summer of 2017. I have a background of working in the dental field, but when I started working for Dr. Moore I knew I had found a unique practice. Having worked in the city I had forgotten that “small town feel” of what patient care is really about. I've witnessed how the doctors have given the patients their utmost attention and treated them like family. As a certified benefits coordinator I can help with insurance needs and create a better understanding of what works best for your dental care. Most recently I've had the opportunity to cross train to assist in the back office to help in providing each patient with comfort and creating a welcoming environment for your visit. My passions are to work and practice in maintaining compassion to others. As a loving wife and mother of three I take pride in family. My time spent is volunteering for the youth at school and coaching with parks and recreation. I enjoy a healthy lifestyle and take interest into continuing education whenever possible. I moved to beautiful Sedona in spring of 2013 and feel that there is no place like it. I'm so grateful to be here and to be a part of the team! You'll find me in the front office and sometimes in the back at your next visit.

Nancy- Front Desk

My name is Nancy Karademos. I joined the dental team as the front office receptionist in 2006. I have found a fulfilling job welcoming our patients and assisting them with scheduling, payments, and insurance and payment options. Having first been a patients of Dr. Moore's, I can honestly say we have a very caring, professional office where our patients needs always come first. On a personal note,  I have lived in Sedona for 25 years and have been married to a great guy for the last 17. I have three children and between my husband and I we have been blessed with four wonderful grandchildren. My interests are traveling, cooking, reading and listening to music.
